I wrote this short zombie story.  Check it out and repost it if you like it.

The rigor mortised hand broke through the window of the Dodge Stratus tearing at the shirt of Steve. This caused him to accelerate sending the car off the embankment into the trees below. Scott in the back seat instantly regretted not wearing his seat belt as he bounced around his back seat. The car ran through several small trees before a stump destroyred the front end and sent Scott hurdling out into the night. Steve came too with a shake from Dave at his right, the irony taste of blood filling his mouth.
”Yuck” The last meal Steve ate pushed it’s way up his stomach and expelled itself with the blood.
“You alright, Steve?”
“Yeah, what the fuck was that?” Ground chuck and sesame seed overpowered the taste of blood for a moment.
“We got to get out of here and find Scott” Steve jerked his head around to find his friend missing.
“Where is he?”
“He went out the window, can you walk?”
“I think” Steve stretched his legs out pressing the brake. This action illuminated twenty undead faces with red light.
“Shit” Steve moved quickly ignoring the pulsating pain running through his upper half. The front doors flew open in unison, Dave and Steve make a mad dash forward. Steve had forgotten about Scott until he tripped over his life less body. The beams of light from the car illuminated what was left of Scott’s face. Dave was fifteen paces in front of Steve by the time he was at his feet again. Steve was pouring a forty degree sweat as he followed Dave out of the tunnel of light and into the dark. Dave’s limbs quit working after a quick look backwards. Steve grabbed at Dave as he dashed by
“Run!” Steve shouted. Steve was never going to stop running again. The image of Scott’s broken face punched him in the stomach and dropped him to his knees. Dave stopped and grabbed Steve back up.
“We can’t stop yet.” That’s when Steve heard what had always been there. The stomping and gurgling was set off by the tearing and cracking of aged flesh and bone. Dave also heard it but he was the first to realize it was on all sides of them.
“The whole worlds gone insane” Dave fell back wards his lungs burning and a loud thumping enveloping his brain.
“I hate surround sound” Steve’s last remark got a chuckle from Dave who gave him a moon lit smile as the sounds met them in the woods
